Hidden YouTube Hacks for More Views

Whenever you watch videos teaching how to get more views on YouTube, they usually say the same thing: a strong 30-second hook, eye-catching title, and thumbnail. But what about the real, hidden hacks that few people talk about?

I’ve made plenty of videos about growing on YouTube, but today I want to share strategies that people either keep secret or don’t even know themselves

1. Playlist Link Hack – guaranteed next video

By adding the correct playlist code (list=xxxxxx) to any video link, you ensure that your video is the next to autoplay, even on someone else’s video. This is a simple way to rack up extra views.

2. Include the Year in Your Title – relevance & freshness

Including the current year in your video title signals that your content is up-to-date. Update old titles annually to extend the shelf life of your videos. Tools like Tubebuddy make bulk updates easy.

3. Track Competitors – Niche Insights

Tubebuddy’s Niche Insights lets you track your competitors’ channels and find out which videos overperform or underperform. You can replicate successful strategies and avoid what doesn’t work.

4. AB Testing & Click Magnet – optimize existing videos

You can improve underperforming videos by changing titles and thumbnails. Click Magnet shows videos with high potential. AB testing helps find the best performing versions to maximize views.

5. Reuse Old Videos

  • Combine videos: Merge short videos into a longer Masterclass.
  • Split long videos: Turn podcasts or long clips into multiple shorter uploads.
  • Recreate popular segments: Refilm the most successful parts of old videos as new standalone clips.

6. Create Series – creativity & algorithm

Series let you stay flexible while still gaining views. At the end of each video, add a clear end screen pointing to the next video. This boosts watch time and encourages binge-watching.
